I have had a camera in hand since early grade school. My first formal training was for my merit badge, taught by my father. We had a home darkroom for several years to get my hands dirty. For many years after that I photographed family and trips while I taught. After retiring from the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, I devoted full time to improving my skills. In 1999 I began the switch to digital which seems not to be that much of a challenge. Light is light, sensors are sensors. The processing is just much neater!
